It is uncertain what is being done in Memphis right now, they gave away 27 year old PF Pau Gasol, the kind of player that every dominant team in the West needs, they tried giving away Mike Miller and also succeeded in giving up Stromile Swift to get very little in return. The Grizzlies just blew up their team, and no one knows why.
They should be getting another great pick in the draft to build around the new franchise player after trading Gasol, swingman Rudy Gay. It is rumored that the team was clearing cap space so that they could sell the team and give it more value with less money locked up in players contracts.
