The Warriors were a losing team for a while until the team landed Baron Davis in a trade with the Hornets. Since than the Warriors have run into some luck, such as getting their starting SG, Monta Ellis, in the 2nd round of the NBA Draft. Their most recent playoff success came as being the 8th seed in the playoffs and knocking off the 1st seed Mavericks who had 67 wins that season.
The Warriors have one of the best coaches in the NBA in Don Nelson, a great home court environment, and an exciting team which is capable of causing match-up problems to any team in the league.
