Rockets assign C Dorsey to D-League (AP)

The Houston Rockets have assigned center Joey Dorsey to the team's developmental league partner and waived forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu on Friday. The 6-foot-8 Dorsey, who has not appeared in a game with the Rockets this season, will join the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The Rockets took over basketball operations of the Vipers in June.
