Mavs rally from 17 down, defeat Rockets (AP)
Jason Terry scored 24 points, Erick Dampier had 14 points and 20 rebounds, and the Dallas Mavericks overcame an early 17-point deficit to beat the Houston Rockets 121-103 on Tuesday night. The Mavericks went on a 22-3 run that started late in the first half and helped them bounce back after a sluggish start.

Nuggets top Bulls 90-89 with replay help (AP)

Roy, Aldridge help Blazers top Grizzlies (AP)
Brandon Roy scored 20 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 16 points and 12 rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers won their third straight with a 93-79 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. Casey Blake and Greg Oden had 14 points each for Portland, all of Oden?s coming in the second half.

Vince Carter's tender left ankle was aching so much at the morning shootaround he couldn't participate, and Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy ruled him out of Tuesday night's game against Charlotte. Then a wet walk back to the hotel in the middle of the remnants of Hurricane Ida changed everything.

Cuban could be interested in Dodgers (AP)
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who lost in a bid to purchase to the Chicago Cubs, apparently still has some interest in owning a Major League Baseball team. Amid several reports that he'd be interested in buying the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are not for sale, Cuban says "if it's a perfect deal" he's interested.

No timetable set for McGrady’s return (AP)
Tracy McGrady is closer to getting back on the court after microfracture surgery, but no timetable has been set for the seven-time All-Star's return to the Houston Rockets. "He's been able to practice and doesn't have the pain he had last year," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said Tuesday.
