Pacers waive oft-injured PG Tinsley (AP)
The Indiana Pacers have waived point guard Jamaal Tinsley, ending an often strained relationship. The Pacers announced the move Wednesday. A Pacers spokesman said the NBA will process the request Thursday, and if Tinsley clears waivers, he will become a free agent. As a result, next week's grievance arbitration has been canceled.

US invites Wizards’ McGee to minicamp (AP)
USA Basketball has added Washington Wizards forward/center JaVale McGee to its minicamp roster. The Americans also announced Wednesday that Portland guard Jerryd Bayless withdrew because he injured his left wrist during the NBA's summer league. McGee earned an invite after averaging 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and a league-best 4.0 blocks during four summer league games.

Pacers re-sign reserve F McRoberts (AP)
The Indiana Pacers have resigned free agent forward Josh McRoberts. Terms of the multiyear contract were not disclosed Wednesday. The Pacers made a qualifying offer to the 6-foot-10 McRoberts last month, making him a restricted free agent. The athletic post player averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds last season.

Reserve C Magloire re-signs with Heat (AP)
Reserve Jamaal Magloire has re-signed with the Miami Heat, giving the team four centers under contract. Restricted free-agent center Joel Anthony re-signed Monday. The Heat also have starter Jermaine O'Neal and seldom-used Mark Blount. The Heat announced Wednesday they had reached an agreement with Magloire, an unrestricted free agent.
