Grizzlies sign No. 2 draft pick Thabeet (AP)
First-round draft pick Hasheem Thabeet has signed with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 7-foot-3 center from Connecticut was the second pick in the draft. Thabeet is due to make about $7.7 million over two years under the rookie salary scale. Thabeet is the first Tanzanian-born player drafted by an NBA team.

Cavs sign Heat F Moon to offer sheet (AP)
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed restricted free agent Jamario Moon to an offer sheet. Moon spent last season with the Heat, who on Sunday confirmed the offer first reported by ESPN.com. Terms were not disclosed. Calls to Joel Bell, Moon's agent, were not returned. Miami has seven days to match the offer.
