Jackson: Goaltending should’ve been call (AP)
Two days later, Phil Jackson called goaltending on his own center. An hour before tip-off of Game 3 of the NBA finals, Jackson said Los Angeles center Pau Gasol should have been whistled for goaltending on Orlando rookie guard Courtney Lee's missed layup in the final second of regulation in Game 2 on Sunday night.

A woman arrested last month at Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki's Dallas home has a July 27 hearing on her theft arrest. Crystal Taylor was arrested May 6 at Nowitzki's home in north Dallas. Heat F O’Neal exercises $23M option (AP)
Forwards Jermaine O'Neal and Yakhouba Diawara of the Miami Heat have exercised options to remain under contract for next season. Both had contracts mandating they "opt in" for the final years of their deal. O'Neal will make nearly $23 million in 2009-10, while Diawara's salary is around $900,000.

Sixers trade Evans to Raptors for Kapono (AP)
The Philadelphia 76ers have traded forward Reggie Evans to the Toronto Raptors for shooter Jason Kapono. Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski says the trade addresses Philadelphia's goal of getting better from the perimeter. Kapono's .454 shooting percentage on 3-pointers is tied with Steve Kerr for the best in NBA history.
